Mr. Joe Biden
The 46th President of the United States of America.
It is our pleasure to extend to you our congratulations on your assumption of the duties as the 46th President of the United States of America.
We wish you and all the members of your administration team the best of success and achieving justice, peace, prosperity, and development not only among the American people, but among the people of the world.
We know as you enter the White House that you have great challenges, both internal and external, the first of which is combating the Covid-19 pandemic, economic development, American social balance, world peace, human rights, limiting the spread of nuclear weapons, fighting terrorism, and confronting those behind it.
Mr. President:
We appeal to you, on behalf of the millions of Iraqi people, and we are hoping that the Iraqi plight will be on your agenda.
As you know, Iraq is facing huge turmoil due to the domination of corrupt parties and personalities in Iraq through fraudulent elections, uncontrolled weapons, and shameless Iranian interference. The goal behind this is to make Iraq an arena for a devastating war which will cause destruction not only in Iraq but destabilising all countries of the region.
You and us, and all the countries of the free world, agree that Iraq has become an arena through which Iran challenges the international will, by supporting militias to maintain Iran's control over the Iraqi decision-making circle, overpowering the Iraqi people, targeting diplomatic missions, destroying the Iraqi industry, stealing Iraq's financial resources and other unlawful actions. This is an obvious challenge by Iran and its insistence on interfering in the affairs of the countries of the region, including Iraq.
Despite this, the people of Iraq try to stand up against this brutal power through peaceful protests, the most recent of which was the October Revolution which was met with fire and violence, and the result was more than 700 dead, more than 25,000 wounded and disabled and dozens have simply disappeared.
This is clear and explicit evidence that those who control the fate of the Iraqi people will not take into account the welfare and will of the people, but rather we will continue to witness more killing, bloodshed and chaos. The aim is to keep Iraq under the authority of the Iranian revolutionary guard and his generals to compensate the damage inflicted on the Iranian regime due to the sanctions imposed by the United States of America and the international community on Iran.
Therefore, the need for American intervention to help Iraq get rid of Iran's grip has become a public demand. The United States of America and its allies have a humanitarian responsibility which is no less than that which was in 2003.
Mr. President:
We and millions of Iraqi people are looking forward to a real strategic relationship between Iraq and the United States of America to serve our nations and implement peace, prosperity, and growth not just in Iraq, but throughout the region and the world.
You said in your inauguration speech you are looking forward to a renewed flood of joy, hope and faith. At the same time, we believe that this vision will not be truthful if Iraq and its people are held captive by Iran and its proxies in Iraq.
Just as you seek to preserve democracy in America, we too look forward a true democracy that promotes justice, peace and equality among the Iraqis with the help of our friends and allies as the Iraqis are unable to fulfil this desire on their own.
In conclusion Mr. President, we renew our sincere congratulations to you, wish you all the success and prosperity.
